Immunet reports W32.Generic:Crypt.15js.1201

Post by SethRosen »

I tried packaging the Arc game client www.arcgames.com
Upon running the boxed app my Immunet program reports 3 temp files are infected w/ W32.Generic:Crypt.15js.1201
Not sure this is a false positive, but I'm not confident enough to allow it to run, windows firewall is reporting a temp file evbeb0a.tmp is trying to access the internet, is that a typical behavior?

Thanks,
Seth

Hi Seth, this is an antivirus false detection, some comments are there: http://www.softwareprotection.info/2011 ... -to-solve/

How you can solve that:
1. report a false positive file to antivirus company and ask to fix it, this usually helps
2. digitally sign the packed file with code signing certificate
