I have a saved project File (.enigma) which I have stored for future updates.
The exe which is packed with the project was a quite old exe compiled in VB6 (i dont have the source code)
Now I am trying to pack a new exe compiled in C# using the same project file but when I run the protected exe, it shows a different hardware ID.
To ensure, I packed the old exe again and its still showing the old Hardware ID.
While packing both the Exes, I change nothing in the project file other than the exe's path.
What can be the issue here?
Different Hardware ID for different exe packed with same Project
Re: Different Hardware ID for different exe packed with same Project
My bad. Didnt took much time to find out the reason.
Its not due to different exe.
The old file was set to run as administrator but I was running the newly packed file without administrator rights.
You can delete this thread or maybe just leave it as it is. Might help someone else in future.

Re: Different Hardware ID for different exe packed with same Project
Hi, yes, present and absence of administrator privileges may affect the hardware id, but also depends on what parameters are specified for hardware id generation at Registration Features - Hardware Lock panel.
