Hi,
For decent sized projects it can take >30 seconds to see the first screen... are there any plans to add a progress bar or a splash window with spinning icon or anything to indicate to the user that enigma virtual box is working on loading the desired project/executable?

With The Enigma Protector you can simply add splash screen for you exe. But Currently I do not think you can do it with EVB.

The main issue there is to check, why there is so huge delay in execution. EVB should not take so much time for execution, even if you have million files inside it.
The main reason, to my mind, is not a EVB but the antivirus that installed on your pc. It freezes the file execution until check it carefully. So even if we make some progress bar, it will not work at you are planning.
To fix this problem you may contact to antivirus engineers and ask to check and fix the problem. Also, you may sign packed file with digital certificate. This usually helps to fix many problems with antiviruses.
