How to package Signal correctly?

I'm testing how to use Enigma Virtual Box with Signal to understand how it works.
After performing a clean installation of Signal and seeing which directories it uses, I found the following:
%LocalAppData%\Programs\signal-desktop
This is where the Signal application is installed.

%AppData%\Signal
I assume this is where the application's temporary data is stored (user account, updates, cache, etc.)

So I tried to create a portable version in the following way:

However, the application simply doesn't start – what am I doing wrong? What would be the correct way to package this programme?
Another question that comes to mind is:
If Signal updates itself automatically, does Enigma Virtual Box handle this as well?
Regards.
