Hello enigma,
I just would like to ask you that what does packaging function good for?

I read the help and it says:
"External Package is an external file, that may be copied to the user PC to overwrite or append default virtual package (virtual environment). "

Okay, then it's the function that I've ever wanted! This way I can make patches for the our (a little team) soon finished game. Cool one, so I tried it. Made a package, added to the exe, protection succeed, executing the file -> BUT it says: "File cannot be found" What?! Did I fail something?

I made a sample exe and code to make everything easier & faster, and I made some pics. I hope you can find my problem.

Did I misunderstood the function of packaging? Shouldn't this packaging work like the Virtual Box just with external files?

Hi csirkepap,

There could be few issues.

1. As I've seen, you are trying to virtualize the exe file. For this purpose, it is necessary to enable the options:
- Virtual Box - Options - Allows execution of virtual exe files, and
- Virtual Box - Options - Map executable files using temporary file
Make sure these options are enabled there.
2. As far I remember, DEMO version of Enigma Protector (if you are using it) has a bug with external packaging feature. It simply does not work there.
3. No matter what version you are using, Virtual Box feature had been very improved since the latest release of Enigma Protector. So maybe there is some (already fixed) bug.

Let me know what version are you using (is it DEMO or FULL) and I will send you the newest version of Enigma Protector that does not contain the bugs I wrote.

You may try this DEMO version, it should be working well:

Enigma Virtual Box - yes, this feature should be work well there too.

I just tested it again, and can confirm - it does work well.

You should also note. Package file should be created after packing of main exe, never it should be created before that.
