Good day,
I really have to say that Enigma Protector with each new version gets even better.
I have some questions:
1. Is recommendable use in VirtualBox Files the option Compress Files ?
2. Is recommendable use in VirtualBox Files the option Share virtual System to child Processes ?
I need some clarifications:
1. Added ability to write to virtual files
Excellent addition !!!
But I'm not shure I have clearly understood it. It's possible to write to an XML file and make that change persistent.
What must I do to accomplish that ?
I tested it but the XML file didn't change.
TIA and Kind Regards
Gianfranco
Some questions
Re: Some questions
Hi Gianfranco,
Yes, it is recommended but depends on a files you are protecting. Compression itself, slows down working of virtualization in case you have many small files inside Virtual Box. But it makes protected file smaller and sometimes working even faster then w/o compression with the big files. Also, the files you embed are not "compressable", i.e. file size after compression is same or a little smaller then uncompressed, in this case compression is not recommended.ggpnet wrote:1. If your program executes other applications (programs, processes) that also should use virtual system (virtual files, registry virtualization) then yes, you do need to use it. If you do not know if it is necessary or no, then it is better to disable it.ggpnet wrote:2. Is recommendable use in VirtualBox Files the option Share virtual System to child Processes ?
Unfortunately, this does not mean what you described. This feature really allows program to write data to virtual files, but these changes are being performed in memory, and after restart of the protected file changes are discarded. Currently we are working on a ability to save the state of the changes so it won't be rejected after restart.ggpnet wrote:But I'm not shure I have clearly understood it.
